MAP testing is the standardized testing program utilized by the Diocese of Charleston, as well as Greenville County schools. It serves as a very valuable academic measurement for students, the school and the respective education systems that utilize it.
Historically, Prince of Peace students have excelled academically, and the results of MAP testing conducted last spring served to affirm that trend. The following data represents the percentage of students who scored above the set growth benchmarks in reading and math as of June of 2019:
Scoring ABOVE growth benchmarks | Reading | Math |
Public/Charter Schools | 41% | 44% |
Diocese of Charleston Schools | 59% | 55% |
Prince of Peace Catholic School | 67% | 63% |
We expect this trend of academic success to continue, as it serves as a strategic pillar for the future of the school. Results of the testing program help the school assess the academic growth of each student, as well its academic programs.
