Francis: The Poor Little Man of God (rising) Grades 1-4 – Monday, June 13 thru Friday, June 17 – 9:30-12:00
This charming retelling of St. Francis of Assisi is a heartwarming performance to watch. It depicts Francis’ love of God’s creation and gives the young performers a model of how to always be thankful for everything in our lives, down to the smallest bird in the sky. Our younger participants will engage in a fully staged production that includes enchanting animal costumes!

The story of David and Goliath, a brave tale of courage and trust in God, makes a powerful impact in this musical production. The formidable combination of Allen Pote’s dramatic music and Tom Long’s lively dialogue makes for an exciting and enjoyable production for all ages. With a stage overrun with sentries, kings, commanders, spears, flying rocks, shepherds, and even a giant, your child won’t want to miss this hit of a musical!

Summer Opportunities for Adult Christian Formation
Dante’s Divine Comedy – Back by popular demand! We are going to begin reading Dante’s Divine Comedy, widely regarded as among the greatest pieces of world literature ever written. The Comedy is a description, rich in philosophical and theological content, of one man’s journey through the afterlife – Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. While many non-Catholics tend to associate Dante with his vision of Hell, he in fact spends most of his Comedy among the saved. Dante has been rightly called the “poet of the popes” as many pontiffs have encouraged Catholics to read his masterpiece. Pope Paul VI went as far as to call Dante “the poet of theologians and the theologian of poets” and Pope Benedict XV called the Divine Comedy “the fifth gospel.” Pope Francis has recommended Catholics take up this book during the Year of Mercy, calling Dante “a prophet of hope, herald of the possibility of redemption, liberation and the profound transformation of every man and woman, of all humanity.” Join us on Tuesday evenings (7p – 8:30) from 31 May to 30 August as we journey from the depths of sin to the very face of God! Email Nathan Barontini at nathanbarontini@gmail.com with any further questions.

Is being a mother what you thought it would be? The exhaustion, monotony, mounting unfinished projects, a loss of a sense of self… Too many moms, especially young and new moms, do in fact feel disillusioned. Maybe you feel you’ve been sold a bill of goods, that success and happiness are not possible through the vocation to motherhood. Many moms quietly resign themselves to the idea that success, happiness and fulfillment are things they will need to find in spite of motherhood, not because of it.
In Momnipotent, Danielle Bean understands all this first-hand and meets women where they are. With great wit, wisdom, and compassion, she provides much-needed encouragement to all women and beautifully resonates with their feminine hearts.
The MOMNIPOTENT study is coming to Prince of Peace! Beginning
Monday, 6 June through 1 August (with no meeting on
July 4) we will meet in the middle school building at 7:30p. Please contact Stephanie Lasitter at
stephanie.lasitter@princeofpeacetaylors.org or
864.331.3905 to sign up. You will receive the MOMNIPOTENT book and journal combination with your sign up at no cost.
