Peace in Progress

Building for Generations

Prince of Peace is blessed with a thriving parish and school community—one that continues to grow in faith, families, and vocations. With that growth comes a responsibility: to ensure we have the space needed to form disciples today and for generations to come. Peace in Progress is our parish-wide campaign to thoughtfully and faithfully expand our campus in a way that strengthens our mission and welcomes every person who calls Prince of Peace home.

In this message, you’ll hear about:

  • The need created by the rapid and sustained growth of our parish and school

  • How expanding our campus will unlock dedicated space for adult faith formation, parish ministries, and community gatherings

  • The creation of a secure and purpose-built middle school wing, designed for today’s learners and families

  • Our shared calling to steward the blessings God has given us, investing in a future of faith, formation, and hospitality

  • The financial path forward, including our first milestone and how every household can participate

We invite you to watch, pray, and discern how God may be calling you to take part in this next chapter of our parish’s life.

Growth Requires Action

As our parish community continues to flourish, our current facilities can no longer support the needs of our students, families, and ministries. Classrooms and formation spaces are stretched to capacity, and programs that could enrich parish life are turned away for lack of room. Peace in Progress ensures we can continue welcoming, teaching, and forming disciples—now and for decades to come.

From Adaptable to Intentional

For years, our school has made the most of every available space—but our campus was never designed to support the vibrant, growing Catholic school we have today. This expansion creates a secure, purpose-built middle school wing with a monitored single point of entry. It strengthens safety, provides cohesive learning spaces, and reflects the dignity and care our students and families deserve.

A Parish Alive from Morning to Night

Once the new middle school wing is complete, our current middle school building will become dedicated space for parish ministries. Four spacious classrooms and a sunny deck will welcome Bible studies, small groups, rosary circles, adult formation, retreats, and fellowship. This will allow parish life to flourish throughout the week—morning to night, across every generation.

About the Project

What is Peace in Progress?
Peace in Progress is a parish-wide capital campaign to build a secure, purpose-built middle school wing and to free our current middle school building for parish ministries. This single project benefits both our school and parish by creating needed space for faith formation, fellowship, and community.

Why is this needed now?
Our parish and school have grown significantly. Classrooms, ministry rooms, and meeting spaces are consistently full. We are now at a point where growth cannot continue without additional space. Acting now allows us to respond to the growth God is already giving us—rather than turning families and ministries away.

Does this project involve constructing a new building?
Yes, we will build a new middle school wing. However, a major part of the project’s value is that it unlocks an existing, fully usable building for parish ministries—without requiring renovation.

Will there be renovations to the released building?
Not in this phase. The building is in good condition and ready for ministry use now. Any flexible enhancements will be explored later, as a separate conversation.

Is this project approved by the Diocese?
Yes. The Diocese has reviewed our research, master plan, need, capacity, and financial structure. They have given full approval to move forward once our first funding milestone is met.

Giving & Participation

What is the fundraising goal?
The total goal for Peace in Progress is $2.4 million. To begin construction, we must first secure $1.2 million in cash in hand, which allows the Diocese to approve groundbreaking. The remaining $1.2 million will be fulfilled through three-year pledges, ensuring the project is fully funded through completion. While the first milestone allows us to start, the full $2.4 million in commitments is essential to deliver the project responsibly, without interruption, and within budget.

How can I give?
Parishioners are invited to give in the way that best reflects their household stewardship. Gifts can be made as a one-time contribution, a recurring monthly or annual commitment, or a three-year pledge. Many parishioners may also choose to give through assets such as IRA distributions, appreciated stock, or donor-advised funds. Every gift and every pledge brings us closer to the full $2.4 million needed to complete the project.

Why are pledges important?
Pledges allow generosity to unfold over time. By spreading a gift across three years, families can participate meaningfully while balancing their financial responsibilities. Pledges also provide the parish with the confidence and stability required to complete the full project, even after groundbreaking begins.

What if I cannot give at a large level?
Every gift matters. Peace in Progress is a parish-wide effort, and participation itself strengthens our community. Your gift, your prayers, and your encouragement help build a parish and school where faith can flourish for generations.

Is there recognition for major gifts?
Yes. Classroom naming opportunities are available beginning at $250,000, and a Parish Recognition Wall in the new school entrance will honor donors giving $50,000 or more in a simple and reverent way. These recognitions are expressions of gratitude—not of status—and honor the generosity that brings this project to life.

Getting Others Involved & Growing Support

How can I help beyond giving?
You can make a meaningful impact simply by sharing your enthusiasm. Talk about Peace in Progress with fellow parishioners, friends, and family. Pray for the success of the campaign and for the unity of our parish. When we speak with one voice and one heart, our community grows stronger.

What should I say when I share this with others?
Focus on what this project makes possible. Peace in Progress will create dedicated space for adult formation and parish gatherings, provide a secure and purpose-built middle school wing, and ensure our campus continues to serve families for decades to come. This is about forming disciples and strengthening the life of our parish—not just adding rooms.

How might I connect others to the campaign?
Personal invitation matters. You can encourage someone to watch the campaign video, join you at an information session, or consider participating in giving at any level. If you know someone who may have a particular interest, you can also introduce them to parish leadership so they can learn more directly.

Do employer matching gifts help?
Yes. Many employers offer matching gift programs that can significantly increase the impact of your pledge. If your workplace offers matching gifts, we encourage you to take advantage of that opportunity.

What if I know someone outside the parish who may want to help?
We welcome the support of anyone who shares our commitment to Catholic education, parish life, and generational faith formation. Please reach out to the parish office; we are glad to walk with them in prayerful discernment.
