The Great Nativity
The Great Nativity at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Taylors is a breathtaking reminder of the beauty and wonder of Christ’s birth. Hand-carved from solid linden wood by the renowned artisans of ALBL Oberammergau in Germany, this life-size polychrome Nativity is the largest indoor display of its kind in South Carolina. Visitors are invited to stand before Mary, Joseph, the Christ Child, shepherds, and Magi, each carved with exquisite detail and reverence, and reflect on the prophecy of Isaiah who foretold the coming of the “Prince of Peace.” Open daily from 7a to 7p through the Feast of the Presentation, The Great Nativity offers families and pilgrims a profound way to enter into the true meaning of the Christmas season.

Experience
As you stroll through the market, you’ll have the chance to shop and visit with a variety of vendors offering unique gifts and festive treasures—perfect for Christmas giving or keeping something special for yourself. Warm up with delicious treats like s’mores and hot chocolate as you take in the sights, sounds, and scents of the season. And don’t miss the opportunity to go on a guided tour of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where you’ll discover the beauty of its sacred art and learn more about the faith that celebrates the birth of Christ.

Visit St Nicholas
Gather the children for a special story time with St. Nicholas, the beloved bishop who inspired the tradition of Santa Claus. After the reading, little ones will have the chance to meet St. Nicholas in person, share their Christmas joy, and capture a memorable photo to treasure for years to come.
